Editing my old review as it was different management at that time. Ever since Liz, Jennifer & a friendly man (sorry, I don’t know his name!) joined the office, things have greatly improved. Jennifer is so kind and helpful. There are fun events all the time & they really love animals. Definitely recommend for animal lovers!

I had a great experience with the new Maintenance member, Mike. I have been experiencing issues with my patio door for months- Mike gave me a call before coming by, Introduced himself very nicely, and fixed my door in under 10 minutes while being super friendly and having a great conversation with me. Super glad that Mike is joining the Forest Cove team!

Thought I'd share some of my experience with this place, I moved in May 2022 with my Dog and we're still living here. I'll start by saying the natural ambiance, waterscapes, wooden bridges, and being PET FRIENDLY including a dog park were the main reasons why I chose this place and having to work from home sometimes I love to have such exterior view, so this place and its price worked great for me. Management (Liz) and team (Jennifer and Mar) are all great, they're considerate, respectful and professional, they continue to be very supportive to the community, love the new monthly newsletters where we get updated on news, love the events they continue to do (food buffets and giveaways), nice job! I like the resident portal which is very helpful to submit maintenance requests online where I describe the issue and provide photos to help explain without having to visit the office, one of which was for an AC replacement which they did on the same day, I was very happy with that, maintenance continue to do a good job with the place. Improvements continue to develop over time, one of the biggest improvements/decisions made this year was making this place Eco-friendly with No Smoking policy, that was a major concern when I first moved in last year, smoke and marijuana coming in from the bathroom vents and corridor which impacted me being and my dog especially that her nose is 100,000 times more sensitive than mine, this brings me to talk about the neighbors and community in general. I agree with some reviews that we do have "inconsiderate neighbors" who don't comply with contract, office rules and guidelines, bikes not in right place, smoking continues!, speeding while we're told max speed is 20, balconies with furniture while we’re advised not to have due to fire hazards, people not cleaning after their dogs while bags were made available for free!, given that office notified us through emails and noticeboards on all these concerns, and recently the towing notice delivered in advance, I believe office is being "patient as possible" with the neighbors, I hope community would be more mindful and respectful to notices and other neighbors, better to read and understand the contract and clauses to avoid issues with office, I do agree with some reviews office NEEDS to frequently walk the buildings and grounds more to see and address issues. No place is 100% great and community feedback is always key for improvements, so (1) I would like the office to consider a spot and create a small community playground for kids, some equipment will do, (2) I would like to see indoor/outdoor security cameras to keep the community and vehicles safe, (3) I would like to see more chairs for the community to sit and enjoy the natural view, (4) I would like to see more shaded car ports for the community especially during winter, I hope these would be great recommendations to consider for improvements. Last word, office continues to do a great job, community is super friendly, I do see more dogs around which is great! and Liz, Jennifer and Mar keep up the great work =) Will revisit this review after a couple of months for updates!

Update: Wanted to provide an update as there have been many improvements. The management office has been a lot better with replying to concerns. Jennifer and Mar are very considerate and helpful. Liz leaves more to be desired. We do have a lot of very inconsiderate neighbors but the office does a good job on addressing those concerns when brought to their attention. I wish they would walk the buildings and grounds more to see and address issues so residents don't have to complain. My building in particular is a mess in the back and people have furniture on their balcony that they shouldn't (an entire recliner) but I get sick of calling and complaining and hate being that resident. We have not had any major appliance or plumbing issues the 4 yrs we've been here and maintenance replies within a day or even same day even for minor concerns. I still believe it is over priced and we probably won't live here many more years because of that but otherwise, pretty good place. If they had more updated apts such as better appliances, nicer fixtures, carpet and cabinets that are convenient to use, I would definitely consider staying and transferring to a more updated apt. Also, would love if washers were bigger especially for the price per load ($1.80 to wash and same price to dry). Great spaces to walk if you have dogs.

I've lived here for a couple of years. One of the best apartment communities in Schaumburg area with reasonable prices and good apartment conditions. Fast maintenance, nice office staff, good location, calm area.

Very wonderful experience to live here, everything is so nice and professional. The manager and all the stuffs are so helpful, that even after I left the apartment and moved to a different state they took great responsibility in sending an important package back to me which was by mistake delivered there. I will highly recommend this place.

I lived at the Forest Cove Apartments for a year, from 8/14/2020 to 8/13/2021 (the exact dates may be off by a day or two, I just remember it was mid-month). I lived in a 1BR. It was a great apartment overall. The bedroom was huge and the closet space was plentiful. A few issues arose but were taken care of quickly such as needing the A/C unit replaced and the knob for the bath tub needing replaced. The only 2 ongoing issues were that the windows are dated, hard to open, and cold air seemed to seep in so on the colder days it can get chilly if you are near the window. Second, my upstairs neighbor would, on occasion make the ceiling vibrate as if they were literally jumping up and down. The only thing that stopped me from renewing was my rent would go up about $250/month.

We don't live here anymore but really enjoyed our time here! Some odd rules but overall great experience loved Peggy she was super nice.

When we move everything was find the service the apartment is good but then 2 months later there were ants in The floor When the pool was open again the water pool had Dead Bugs Ants leaves in the pool but is a good place

My husband and I moved here from California in the end of 2018. Moving in was very easy and the owners were really friendly. Whenever we had an issue, Peggy always help us quickly. We really like our apartment, everything was pretty new and in good condition. Not really any issues with the apartment. The maintenance team is really professional and quick. We had an issue with our bathroom and they came quickly and got it fix, even during this whole pandemic/stay in home order. The only issue we have is some our neighbors are loud at night and sometimes the hallways smell like weed. I know is hard to control the issue with neighbors, but it’s gotten to the point that I have to make sure everything is locked and windows are closed. Last month (end of April) we were awaken at 2am by someone knocking on our balcony window, then coming to knock on my bedroom window crying, a women crying and knocking loudly. We were scared. We heard fighting outside and decided to call the police to check if everything was okay. Usually, now there is a lot of loud music and yelling. And recently today (May, 22) I saw someone right outside my balcony window, I had no idea what he was doing, or if he was looking for something, but I was sitting in my living area and my tv was on, and I’m sure the person could hear it. I just find this so creepy. It’s not as peaceful as when we moved in. Hopefully this can stop because we really love our apartment and think is beautiful area. Great team, amazing staff.

Forest Cove Apartments has been the most pleasant apartment living experience I have ever had. It has one of the most beautiful landscape in the area. The amenities, such as the open pool and gym are basic. Although these features are common for the other apartment complexes in the Mount Prospect area, Forest Cove boasts something much more valuable, the employees. The team at Forest Cove has the best customer service I have encountered. The grounds keeper, maintenance, and office members are all attentive to our needs. They’re understanding with our problems and are always available to help to the best of their abilities. A special mention to Sam Oshana and Falguni Pathak for all their help with my issues. I truly feel blessed to call this place home.

I've lived in Forest Cove since June 2018 and I wish this could be my forever home. Coming to Forest Cove after a long day of work and commute downtown is a gift to me. Apartment buildings and surrounding areas have a retreat feel to me which I find to be magical. Because of the nature that surrounds the areas, you can find bunnies, squirrels, skunks, ducks, fish, ducks and other small animals just walking around; a true forest. The apartments themselves have been renovated and look very nice. And lately, management has been taking care of some small maintenance issues, making it even more of a joy to come home. About management, they are new; very responsive, friendly, and neighborly. Forest Cove is a multicultural community, adding to it's richness. My only regret for Forest Cove is that apartments are only 1 or 2 bedrooms, meaning that soon I will have to move elsewhere.

I needed an apartment that felt like home. And i have found it. After seeing 8 other apartment communities in Mount Prospect, Arlington Heights and Elk Grove, I stopped by because of the trees.... I was honestly a bit hopeless after seeing the other apartment residences. All feel and look the same, same sales pitch and corporate rules. From the minute I stepped in the Forest Cove leasing office, it felt like home. Sam and Ed make the best team! Great mood, not pushy but enough to show they truly care. Sam walked me to see the model apartment and let me roam around. Again. The best home feeling. The apartments are clean, well taken care of and updated. We talked a bit more. When i left, I knew I had found my new home. Sam and Ed were the reason why. It feels like home because they are friendly, honest and real. I cannot recommend these apartment enough. There is plenty of parking, the laundry areas are clean, dog friendly, quiet and prices are fair. The maintenance team is on point. Shops are not far, with Woodfield mall a quick 10-15 min drive away. Aldi, Trader Joes, Whole foods are all close by. Ned Brown Forest Preserve is a quick 15 min bike ride away. People are what matter, and this team is the best! They go above and beyond!

Beautiful complex, nice rooms, and very helpful staff. Don't trust the other reviews as they seem to be from a long time ago. They made me worried before I moved here. From what I can tell, they've worked hard to make this place great. Been here for two months and have had no problems whatsoever.

Recently moved out but lived here for 3 yrs. I really enjoyed my time at Forest Cove from the beautiful landscaping to the friendly neighbors. The facilities (laundry, gym, etc) were always kept clean and everything worked great. The staff at the leasing office was always helpful and i always felt welcome. We moved because we found a house we loved, so it was bittersweet leaving good old Forest Cove. Thanks again and a special shout out to Peggy, who was so sweet and kind. She helped a bunch!

Please note this review is solely about the wonderful experience we had with Peggy, the leasing agent. It is very rare to find someone who is very transparent, honest and fair in her line of work. Peggy went above and beyond for us. She was very kind, courteous and helpful during the entire process. She was also transparent about the costs that we should expect to incur during our tenure. She also provided extensive follow up contacting us a few times to see if we needed anything. If she was the agent at our condo association, I would definitely purchase property with her.

Im here to share my experience. I've been living here since 2010. The upgrades have been amazing!! The new management so far have been great. Peggy in the office has been nothing but wonderful with me. Whenever I have a question or need something. She's there to assist me. Great job Peggy!!!

I have been living here for a year now, and I honestly have nothing to complain about. I did read some bad reviews when I first moved in but to me personally it is a very nice place. Whenever I had a problem that needed to be fixed, they actually came right away, and helped me with the issue. I am one of the people that lock themselves out once in a while... but someone came to help me even at 2am with this situation, very thankful to Peggy that actually came herself and opened the door for me because I wasn’t able to walk to the office in that moment!!! Overall for me it is a great experience, a very nice, remodeled apartment, and I’m happy to be here! 😁

EDIT: Things have greatly improved here since I gave my review. All of my concerns have been addressed in a very timely manner. The management staff has been extremely helpful and have done a better job communicating with the residents. There are still some issues that I have heard others experiencing (broken doors, water issues, etc), but it seems like management is at least starting to address them more. As I said before, I love my actual apartment, the amenities, and the people that live here. I have been living here for around 2 months. I can tell you right now that the rating could go up once management figures out their issues. I love my apartment, I love the apartment area and amenities, and the community that lives here is wonderful. Management, however, has been basically non-existent the entire time I have been here. Each time I have a problem the office is either unexpectedly closed, the person there is too busy showing people around to help me, or they do not know how to fix my problem. And there have been a good amount of issues. My key fob for the office has not worked since I have been here and I have gone to the office for it around 10 times. My inspection issues were never resolved. The rent website didn't work for me. Everyone there is pretty much new and nobody knows what they are doing. Once they focus on their current tenants instead of their prospective ones it will be the perfect place to live.

I have had nothing but a great experience the last year I have been living here. Neighbors are super friendly and the staff is always in arms reach. The apartments are affordable and newly renovated! I would recommend this place to everyone.

I don't live here but I am considering it. I'm giving it 5 stars because Peggy worked diligently to get me the price and move-in date I wanted. The updated apartments look great.

From Margaret Cook- I have lived here for 1 year and have found it to be a great place to live- The main office has always taken care of any issues promptly, efficiently and makes you feel appreciated as a resident. I just renewed my lease for another year. The workout room and pool are a plus. I especially enjoyed the Hawaiian luau which gives you a chance to meet your neighbors and make friends. I hope they continue to have monthly get togethers and would glad to be of assistance.

I went yesterday to mt prospect to search for apartment because we thought to move from Chicago to mt prospect. We saw a lot of apartments but the best place there we get what we want it was forest cove. Mrs. Brenden stingley was professional and she market for the apartment as she own this place. The apartment we saw was so pretty, brand new and the and it's a good price compare with others. I really love it but we decide to stay in chicago.I highly recommended.

I like forest cove apartment because I have live here from 2001 to 2010 and after we moving from forest cove apartment because my husband like to change apartment. Now I looking here for rent 1 room apartment for myself because I like forest cove apartment.

New management has turned the place around pretty well. New renovated apartments are really nice. Parking spaces could be a little bigger though. Reasonable price.

When I first read the reviews I was a little hesitant to move here. However I LOVE it here. The apartments are nice and the staff here is very helpful. I had a leak from the upstairs neighbors over flowing there sink and they were here within minutes to fix the problem. They keep up with the snow plowing. I am very happy here. I am assuming a lot of the bad reviews are just picky unrealistic people. I moved here from Chicago and I must say it is very quiet here and have yet to have any issues.
